GoGee Launches Website Replays and the AI Assessment: Optimise Your Website With Evidence

Two new pieces of technology on Net Age websites: session replays that show you exactly where visitors struggle, and an AI assessment that explains what to fix first and why it matters.

Net Age has launched two new pieces of technology inside GoGee: Website Replays and the AI Assessment. Together they answer the two questions every website owner actually cares about: what are real people doing on my site, and what should I change first?

Why we built it

Analytics dashboards tell you that 62% of visitors left the checkout. They never tell you why. We built Replays so you can watch the real journey, and the AI Assessment so you do not have to be a data analyst to know where the money is leaking.

How Website Replays works

A lightweight recorder sits on the site and loads only after the first paint, so it never slows the page down. It captures the structure of the page and the visitor's interactions, batches them every few seconds, compresses them in the browser and sends them to secure storage. Playback then rebuilds the visit as a smooth, video-like session you can scrub through.

Two design decisions make it practical on a busy site:

  • Triggered recording. Instead of recording everything and drowning you in noise, recording arms on the moments that matter: a form field being touched, a form submitted, rage clicks (three or more frantic clicks in a row), an error or not-found page, sixty seconds of dwell on one page, a quote being started or requested, or a basket being opened.
  • Privacy first. Text typed into fields is masked before it ever leaves the browser, and any element can be marked as blocked or masked so sensitive areas never appear in a replay. You see behaviour, not personal data.

The signals it surfaces

Beyond watching sessions, the same data becomes usability reporting for every page:

  • Dead clicks: people clicking something that is not clickable, which is almost always a design promise your site is not keeping.
  • Rage clicks: frustration you can pinpoint to a single button.
  • Element-level engagement: clicks, impressions, how long an element was actually visible, and how it performs on mobile versus tablet versus desktop.
  • Scroll reach: how far down the page visitors get, so you stop burying your call to action.
  • No-click sessions: visitors who arrived, read and touched nothing.
  • Funnel steps: from page view through form start, form submit, quote request or basket and order, so drop-off is visible stage by stage.
  • Variant comparison: two versions of a page reviewed side by side, so a split test becomes something you can watch rather than just a percentage.

Every session also carries the device, browser, operating system, location and the marketing source that brought the visitor in, so a replay is never context free.

How the AI Assessment works

The AI Assessment sits on top of the same data set. You ask a plain-language question, or pick a ready-made one such as paid versus organic, top campaigns, mobile versus desktop, funnel by channel, top landing pages or revenue by channel.

The AI has been given a strict, read-only map of the site's behavioural tables: visits, engagement and time on page, searches, funnel events, quotes and orders, plus the full marketing attribution on each visit including Google, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Microsoft, email, referral and direct. It writes a safe read-only query against that map, runs it over the window you chose, and returns both the table and a written explanation of what the numbers mean.

Because attribution is classified consistently, the answers reconcile. Paid traffic is judged on the actions it produced, not the clicks it bought.

A daily digest, without asking

Once a day the system reviews the previous twenty-four hours of high-intent sessions and writes a short digest: what changed, where visitors struggled, and which pages deserve attention. It runs on a schedule, stores one digest per day and is safe to re-run, so you get a running commentary on your website's health rather than a report you have to remember to open.

How this optimises a client's website

  1. Find the friction. Dead clicks, rage clicks and abandoned forms point at the exact element that is failing.
  2. Watch it happen. A replay confirms the cause in seconds, instead of a week of guessing in a meeting.
  3. Ask why it matters. The AI Assessment sizes the problem: how many people, from which channel, worth how much.
  4. Change one thing. Wording, position, field count, mobile layout.
  5. Prove it. Variant comparison and the funnel show whether the change moved the number that pays the bills.

In practice this is where the quickest wins on a website live. Shortening a form, moving a call to action above the point where most people stop scrolling, making a "button" that was never a button actually clickable, or fixing a mobile layout where the desktop numbers looked perfectly healthy. None of those need a rebuild. They need evidence.

Optimise your website

Website Replays and the AI Assessment are available as modules on Net Age websites and can be added to an existing build. If you would like to see what your visitors are really doing, talk to us, or build a brief and we will include it in your quote.
